New Zealand PM Slams Netanyahu Over Gaza Annexation Attempt
This statement comes as New Zealand considers the possibility of recognizing a Palestinian state
WELLINGTON: New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Laxon has slammed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying he has “lost his mind”.
This statement comes as New Zealand is considering the possibility of recognizing a Palestinian state.
Laxon told reporters that the lack of humanitarian aid, the forced displacement of people and the attempts to annex Gaza were “deeply condemnable”. He added that Netanyahu had gone too far.
“I think he has lost his mind,” he said. He described the Israeli attack on Gaza City overnight as “totally unacceptable”.
