Exam-Time Tragedy at Brown University: Gunman Kills 2, Injure

RHODE ISLAND: The famous Ivy League Brown University in the US state of Rhode Island became a battlefield when an unknown attacker opened fire indiscriminately during exams.
According to authorities, at least two people were killed in the incident and eight people were seriously injured, many of whom are said to be in critical condition.
The shooting took place in the university’s seven-story engineering and physics building, Barrs and Holly, while students were taking final exams.
A student told local media that he hid under a desk in fear for two hours until the police cleared the building.
According to police, the attacker was a man dressed in black who fled on foot after the shooting. No weapon has been recovered yet and a large-scale search operation is underway to arrest the suspect.
All the injured have been transferred to Rhode Island Hospital, where according to the hospital administration, six of the injured are in critical but stable condition, one is in critical condition, while the condition of one injured person is said to be better.
After the incident, a stay-at-home order has been issued in the university and surrounding areas, while the police have appealed to citizens to check the footage of their doorbell cameras and report any suspicious activity.
US President Donald Trump has been briefed on the incident. The president said that the victims are in very bad condition and there is no choice but to pray at this time. Vice President JD Vance also expressed his condolences to the victims on social media.
Federal agencies including the FBI, ATF and the US Secret Service are assisting local police.
It should be noted that Brown University is one of the oldest and most prestigious educational institutions in America, however, this tragic incident has once again raised serious questions about the security of educational institutions in the United States.
