Big Decision Against Iran Imminent? President Trump Hints At Military Option
According to the US president, Iran has recently contacted to discuss the nuclear deal
Washington: US President Donald Trump has said that the US is considering various options against Iran, including military action.
Speaking to reporters on the plane from Florida to Washington DC, President Trump said that he is in contact with Iranian opposition leaders.
He said that he will also talk to billionaire businessman Elon Musk on the issue of restoring the internet in Iran, as his company has expertise in this field.
According to the US president, Iran has recently contacted to discuss the nuclear deal and the US may also consider a meeting in this regard, however, at the same time, various options, including military action, are being considered.
According to US media reports, President Trump was briefed on military options after the ongoing protests in Iran, in which the possibility of targeting Iranian security forces was also considered. The reports also said that options for cyber operations and new sanctions against Iran are also under discussion.
On the other hand, a US official said that President Trump will meet with his senior advisers on Tuesday to discuss the strategy regarding Iran.
It should be noted that Iran had warned the US on Sunday that any US aggression would be met with a strong response. Protests have been ongoing in Iran for the past 14 days, while according to the Iranian Human Rights Organization, 192 people have been killed in these protests so far.
