Australian PM Visits Hospital For Injured Muslim Hero Of Sydney Attack, Pays Tribute To His Bravery
Ahmed showed courage even after being shot several times in the shoulder
SYDNEY: Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese visited Ahmed Al Ahmed, the hero of the Sydney Bondi Beach terrorist attack, and praised his bravery. Ahmed saved the lives of several people by snatching the gun from the attacker.
The Prime Minister said after meeting Ahmed at the hospital that “in a time where we have seen evil, he is the best example of the power of humanity. We are a brave country, and Ahmed Al Ahmed represents our country perfectly.”
Ahmed showed courage even after being shot several times in the shoulder. The Prime Minister said that Ahmed will have another operation on Wednesday.
Ahmed came to Australia from Syria about 10 years ago and received praise from around the world for his bravery, including praise from US President Donald Trump.
More than 1.9 million Australian dollars have been raised for Ahmed’s treatment in online fundraisers.
