Australia Expels Iranian Ambassador, Prepares To Ban Revolutionary Guards
According to the foreign minister, the Iranian ambassador and 3 other officials have been given 7 days to leave the country
Sydney: Australia has announced the expulsion of the Iranian ambassador, accusing Iran of involvement in anti-Semitic attacks.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said that the Iranian government is directly involved in the anti-Semitic attacks in Melbourne and Sydney, which is why the Iranian ambassador is being sent back.
He added that Australia will also introduce legislation to declare the Revolutionary Guards a terrorist organization.
According to the foreign minister, the Iranian ambassador and 3 other officials have been given 7 days to leave the country, while the operations of the Australian embassy in Tehran have been suspended.
