Woman Commits Suicide After Being Cheated Of Rs 1 Lakh In Online Earning Scam
In India, a woman allegedly committed suicide by losing Rs 1 lakh in an online earnings cycle.
According to Indian media, a woman named Ganga Anusha from Hyderabad suffered a fraud in the cycle of earning online.
A heartbreaking case has emerged from Kukatpally, Hyderabad, where a 25-year-old married woman, Anusha, tragically ended her life after falling victim to a cyber scam disguised as a work-from-home opportunity.
Tempted by a job ad on Telegram promising easy money from home, Anusha initially invested ₹1,000 and received good returns — but it was only a trap. Gradually, she invested over ₹1.5 lakhs, pawning jewelry and borrowing from friends, only to realize it was a scam. Overwhelmed by debt and fear of disappointing her husband, she took the extreme step.
This devastating incident sheds light on the increasing number of cyber frauds targeting women looking for remote job opportunities. Police urge the public to stay alert, avoid suspicious links, and report any such scams immed

The woman saw an advertisement for work at home on social media, which promised easy income. The fraudsters showed a amount of Rs 1,000 before them and Anusha showed a fake “profit” amount of Rs 7,000, which in fact never reached its bank account.
When Anusha tried to earn his earnings, the fraudsters demanded more investment. In hopes of returning his initial money, he sold his gold and provided more money, but he got stuck in the net and lost about Rs 1 lakh.
Despite the repeated efforts of the woman, she could not be contacted by frauds and due to this financial loss she suffered severe mental stress, which regretted her suicide.
Before the suicide, the woman left a letter in which she urged others to be careful on social media, warning of such fraud.
Police have registered a case and launched a cyber fraud investigation
