Will welcome Ukrainian president to Russia; Putin ready for talks
The Russian president strongly opposed Ukraine’s NATO membership, saying that a military solution is also possible if necessary
Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed his conditional willingness to host his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky and hold talks on ending the war.
According to the World News Agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin has hinted at a political solution to the Ukraine conflict and said that if the Ukrainian president is ready to come to Russia, a meeting can take place.
Speaking on the Ukraine conflict, Putin made it clear that Russia’s war is not for land but to protect the rights of the people.
He strongly opposed Ukraine’s joining the NATO alliance, saying that this move would be unacceptable for Russia’s security.
The Russian president expressed his desire for direct talks with Zelensky, but at the same time raised the question of whether this meeting would be of any use?
According to President Putin, if an acceptable solution is not agreed upon in this meeting, Russia is capable of resolving the issue militarily.
The Russian President further claimed that Ukraine has lost the ability to fight a large-scale war and that Russian forces are advancing on all fronts.
It should be noted that this statement by the Russian President has come at a time when the war in Ukraine has entered its third year and diplomatic efforts have not yet reached any conclusion.
