Warning Internet users around the world, 16 billion logged details have been handled by hackers
Internet users around the world have been advised to tighten their security and change the password immediately, as according to a new study, 16 billion logs in records may be available to criminals online.
This was revealed by the online security website Cyber News, which discovered 30 data sets that contained users’ emails, user semi and passwords.
Most of the data was obtained from a malware called ‘Info Stelus’, which automatically steals data from infected computers.
Companies whose accounts may be affected include Google, Facebook/ Meta (Meta), Apple and other famous platforms.
However, it has been made clear that there was no direct cyber attack on the systems of these companies, but data was stolen from individual consumer computers.
In this regard, cyber security experts say most of the data may be old, but the number is very high, which shows the seriousness of online crime.
Experts have suggested that strong and unique passwords be made for each account, use the Two Factor Anthentication (2FA) and use passwords manager.
