United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in Moscow on a visit to Russia, where he was warmly welcomed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to the international news agency, an important meeting was held between the two leaders immediately after his arrival in the Russian capital, Moscow, in which mutual relations, regional security and global affairs were discussed.
According to Russian media, President Putin said during the meeting that relations between Russia and the United Arab Emirates are strengthening with each passing day and the two countries are working together for peace and stability in the region.
Sources say that the meeting also discussed economic cooperation, energy, investment and security issues, while the ongoing situation in the Middle East was also discussed in detail.
This visit is taking place at a time when several important diplomatic developments are underway in the region. Both Russia and the Emirates are keen to give a new dimension to their relations on the global stage.
