US President Donald Trump has announced a 35 percent import tax on products imported from Canada last night.
In a statement released on social media, President Trump said that from August 1, 2025, 35 % tax will be imposed on products coming from Canada to the United States, which will be beyond all sectors.
According to a US News Channel report, President Trump told Kirsten Wilker, host of the Met the Press, said that all the rest of the countries with which trade agreements have not yet received or received any trade letter are also going to impose a general tax rate.
