Trump Announces 25% Tariff on India; Will Also Impose "Penalties" On Trade with Russia
US tariffs on India to take effect from August 1
Indian Prime Minister Modi’s global diplomatic achievements and claims of friendship with US President Donald Trump remained in a state of affairs and once also suffered a hazard.
US President Donald Trump wrote on the social media platform “Truth Social”, showing India a mirror that India is our friend, but for years the United States has traded with it because their tariffs are the highest in the world, and their non -financial trade barriers are very strict and unacceptable.
He added that this is the reason why the US trade deficit with India is getting huge.
Donald Trump added that India has always met most of its military needs with Russia and is the largest buyer of energy from Russia, along with China.
President Trump said India is doing so when the whole world wants Russia to stop killing in Ukraine. All these things are not good.
Donald Trump said India not only has to pay 25 % tariffs but can also impose additional penalties on Russia on trade -based trade, which will be applicable from August 1.
Donald Trump says the aim is to reduce the US trade deficit, especially with the countries from which the United States imports.
The US president has yet announced the decision to impose tariffs in India on social media, but the White House has not issued any formal statement on the details or reaction of this potential “fine”.
The move is seen as another stringent step in the US trade policy, which could lead to tensions between US -India relations.
