Former Russian Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov was sentenced to imprisonment for allegations of corruption.
According to the World News Agency, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov was arrested in April last year.
The Deputy Minister of Defense was accused of taking $ 48.4 million and was removed from office.
The court was sentenced to 13 years while one of his subordinates Anton Flatov was also sentenced to 12 years and six months.
During the interrogation, the Deputy Defense Minister made sensible revelations, in light of which a dozen people were detained.

There is not much information available due to the trial in the closed room. However, state media claimed that all legal requirements were met.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice said that all legal assistance was provided to former Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov.
However, critics say the former deputy defense minister has faced the case because of opposition from the Russian president.
