The US Has Tightened Visa Terms For Pakistanis
These instructions were issued on Instagram by US consulates Karachi and Lahore
The US government has instructed those applicants of the Student and Exchange Program Category for Pakistani citizens to “public” their social media accounts so that US officials can identify and secure their security.
These instructions were issued on Instagram by US consulates Karachi and Lahore, which extends the instructions issued by the US Embassy in Delhi this week.
According to the statement, “all persons who are applying for F, M or J category non -immigration visas, set up the privacy settings of all their social media accounts on the ‘public’ to confirm their identity and enrollment in the United States.”

It should be noted that since 2019, the United States has been seeking social media information (account handles) from all visa applicants, but now this condition is being implemented strictly. According to officials, giving social media information or providing false information can lead to refusal and incompetence in the future.
F and M visas are issued for admission to US educational institutions, while J visa exchange programs are specific to those involved.
The move comes under the policy of President Donald Trump’s administration to restore a student visa system and tighten security checking.
