Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has released an update for its Premium Residency scheme for October 2025, which includes details of fees, benefits, and a new application procedure.
This program provides foreign citizens with the freedom to live, do business, and work in Saudi Arabia without a sponsor. According to the report, the Saudi government is currently offering two types of premium residency.
The first option is Permanent Residency, for which a one-time payment of SAR 800,000 (approximately US$213,000) is required, providing lifelong residency.
The second is Renewable Residency, for which an annual fee of SAR 100,000 (approximately US$26,700) has been set.
Benefits
Those who obtain residency under this scheme will be given a number of facilities, including:
No need for a sponsor in Saudi Arabia.
Purchase of property (except in Mecca, Medina and border areas).
Permission to do business or work.
Facility to sponsor a wife and children.
No visa required for free movement in the country.
Access to banking, educational, and medical facilities.
Permission to transfer money abroad.
However, Saudi citizenship or the right to vote will not be granted under this program.
Eligibility
The requirements for applicants include:
Be at least 21 years of age.
Must have a valid passport.
Must have no criminal record.
Must be medically fit.
Legal entry into Saudi Arabia.
Documents of stable income or capital.

Create an account on the official website (pr.gov.sa).
Fill out the application form.
Upload the necessary documents (passport, bank statement, medical report, etc.).
Pay the fee and wait for verification.
The decision is usually received within 1 to 3 months.
