Pressure On Netanyahu Increases, Israeli Army Chief Also Supports Ceasefire
Palestinian organization Hamas has already approved the proposed ceasefire agreement last week
Tel Aviv: Israeli army chief Eyal Zamir has also supported the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and said that as a result of military operations, conditions have now arisen that an agreement with Hamas is possible.
According to Israeli media, during a visit to a naval base in Haifa, the army chief said that “there is a proposed agreement based on the framework presented by Steve Witkoff, now it is up to the government and Prime Minister Netanyahu to decide.”
Eyal Zamir said that Israel should accept the proposed agreement of the mediators because an attempt to capture Gaza City could endanger the lives of the hostages.
It should be noted that the Palestinian organization Hamas has already approved the proposed ceasefire agreement last week, but there has been no positive response from Israel so far.
On the other hand, the Israeli government has approved a major military operation to capture Gaza City and has called up another 60,000 reserve soldiers for this purpose, after which bombing and ground operations in Gaza have been intensified.
