India has warned Pakistan that more flood floods will come to Pakistan, dangerous flooding and torrential rains in the Ravi, Sutlej and Chenab rivers have caused terrible destruction in many cities of Punjab.

The Election Commission has postponed the by-elections in Punjab due to the flood situation. According to a notification issued by the Election Commission, the by-elections have been postponed in five constituencies of the National Assembly of Punjab, a notification of which has been issued, while the by-elections have also been postponed in four provincial constituencies.
In view of the ongoing flood situation in Punjab, the Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has announced the postponement of the supplementary annual examinations of matriculation.

The examinations can now possibly start from September 29, but the new final dates will be officially announced soon.
According to the details, the Flood Forecasting Division Punjab said that the flood situation in the rivers of the province continues, with very high flood levels at Head Sudhanai and Ganda Singh Wala.
There is also very high flood levels at Head Khanki, Head Qadirabad and Chiniot Bridge in the Chenab River. High flood levels have been recorded at Head Marala, Ravi Siphon, Shahdara, Baloki and Head Sulemanki, while moderate flood levels are recorded at Trimo, Jasar, Islam and Mailsi Siphon.
There is low flood levels at Guddu, Sukkur, Kotri and Panjnad. There is very high flood levels in Nallah Ek adjacent to the Chenab River and high flood levels in Nallah Palko. The water level in the Basantar and Nayan drains adjacent to the Ravi River has receded.
On the other hand, when the confluence of the waters of the Ravi and Chenab rivers near Khanewal began to pose a threat to Multan and Muzaffargarh districts, this double threat persisted despite the controlled release last week.
The water level at Head Muhammad Wala and Sher Shah was recorded at 412 feet, which is only 5 feet below the danger level. Authorities have described the next 12 hours as extremely critical, as the pressure on the harvesting points after the confluence of the Ravi and Chenab near Khanewal is increasing.
The flood in the Chenab River in Hafizabad also swept away fish farms spread over thousands of acres, causing losses worth crores of rupees to fish farmers.
The flood has severely affected more than 140 villages in Hafizabad. The flood has washed away the life-long savings of people, leaving no homes or animals and thousands of acres of crops submerged.
A dangerous 319,000 cusecs of water is flowing in the Sutlej River at Head Ganda Singh Wala in Kasur, which has engulfed more than 100 villages including Noori Wala, Bhedian, Usman Wala.
