The LPG ship “Gas Falcon” in Mozambique was taken into custody on November 2024 due to non -payment of financial dues.
According to the news, there are 13 crew members in the international ship “Gas Falcon” carrying LPG in Mozambique, three of whom are Pakistanis.
According to shipping industry sources, the ship has about $ 1.5 million worth of liabilities while the ship is an Italian citizen.
The ship is anchored at the port of Mozambique “Beera” and the crew is not yet allowed to land at the port.
Sources said that Pakistani staff has not been paid salaries since January, while food and medicine reserves have ended.
Despite the intense heat, the air -conditioning system has also been shut down, which has further increased the problems of the crew.
There is also a LPG reserve on the ship, while the staff has become helpless if the owner does not provide any assistance.
The captain has appealed that Pakistani authorities immediately contact the Mozambique government and take steps to release and help Pakistani citizens.
It should be noted that the ship is not owned by Pakistan but the asset of a shipping company in the Central African country of Gabon, but due to the presence of Pakistani staff, the issue needs immediate attention.
