Melt Glaciers Can Make Firefighters More Destructive Than Ever: Research
Scientists warned of research conducted at a conference held in Prague
Scientists have warned in a study that the weather crisis can make melting glaciers more destructive than ever.
Research conducted at the Goldshed Conference held in Prague said that the rapid melting of ice with glaciers eliminates pressure from the underground magma chamber, and this may be the cause of the volcano erupting and intensely.
Researcher Pablo Morino, head of the research from the University of Wisconsin-Medicine, said the research shows that the volcano will explode further and intensifying due to the glacier elimination due to climate change.
The study kept six volcanoes in the South African country of Chile to determine how the melting of the Patagonia ice sheet has affected the heat and severity of the explosion in the past.
