Love On Facebook, Then Marriage, Groom Refuses To Recognize Bride On Reaching Home
The friendship between a young man from Uttar Pradesh and a girl from Jharkhand on Facebook led to marriage, but later the boy refused to recognize her.
According to Indian media, the friendship that started on Facebook between a young man from Uttar Pradesh and a girl from Jharkhand soon turned into such a dramatic conflict that the police had to intervene.
According to reports, the girl had accepted the friend request of the young man from Sonbhadra, who works in a large company, their online chats and video calls soon turned into a relationship, after meeting face to face, the two decided to get married and accepted each other at a local temple and performed the traditional seven-round ceremony.
The girl claims that she left her family to start a new life with the boy, but a shocking twist in the story came when she went to her husband’s house where instead of welcoming her, the young man allegedly refused to accept the marriage, he allegedly told the girl, “Excuse me, who are you? I don’t know you.”
The bride was shocked by his refusal and started crying profusely and then staged a sit-in outside the house, accusing him of cheating her. Soon, people gathered and the matter escalated to the point that the police had to intervene.
Later, the girl filed a written complaint at the police station, saying that this man had tricked me into a relationship through Facebook, married me and now is refusing to accept me as his wife. I should be given justice and protection of my rights.
Police officials have confirmed that they are investigating the case, examining the legal aspects of the marriage and the allegations made by the girl, and taking necessary action if the claims are found to be true.
The case has sparked a new debate in the area and highlighted how relationships formed on social media can sometimes lead to conflict and heartbreak.
