Official holiday announced on Thursday, September 4, 2025, on the occasion of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
The Kuwaiti government has declared a public holiday on Thursday, September 4, 2025, on the occasion of the birth of the last Prophet (PBUH).
According to Kuwait News Agency, the decision to observe a holiday in government institutions on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) was made at the weekly cabinet meeting held on Tuesday.
The announcement said that all ministries and government institutions will remain closed on Thursday, while offices will open on Sunday, September 7, 2025, due to the weekly holidays on Saturday and Sunday.
The statement also said that departments providing essential services will decide on the holiday themselves according to their nature.
The UAE cabinet has also announced that there will be a one-day holiday on the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
It should be noted that in Arab countries, after cabinet approval, all holidays except Eid can be moved to the beginning or end of the week so that citizens can get more holidays at once.
