Israeli PM Announces: Gazans Will Be Allowed To Leave
Israel has been maintaining tight border controls in the Gaza Strip for years, preventing many people from leaving
Jerusalem: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that Gazans will be allowed to leave the territory, while the army is preparing a large-scale operation there.
Past proposals to resettle Gazans, including by US President Donald Trump, have raised concerns among Palestinians and opposition in the international community.
In an interview with the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation, Netanyahu said that “we are not forcing them out, but if they want to leave, we will allow them.” He added that “first we will give them the opportunity to leave the war zones, and if they want to, they will also be able to leave Gaza.”
