Israel Is Being Strongly Condemned Around The World, Including Pakistan, For The Martyrdom Of 5 Journalists In Gaza
Pakistan has called on the international community to hold Israel accountable and ensure the safety of its citizens
Five journalists, including renowned Al Jazeera journalist Anas Al-Sharif, were martyred in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza, which has been condemned worldwide.
Pakistan, Qatar, the United Kingdom, Iran, the United Nations, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, Reporters Without Borders and the Committee to Protect Journalists have called it a serious violation of international humanitarian law.
Pakistan has called on the international community to hold Israel accountable and ensure the safety of its citizens.
The Qatari Prime Minister called it an “unimaginable crime”, while the United Nations said that at least 242 Palestinian journalists have been martyred in Gaza since October 2023. Amnesty called the Israeli allegations baseless and demanded an independent investigation.
According to Al Jazeera, the attack was carried out on a tent in front of Al-Shifa Hospital, in which other journalists Muhammad Qarqiya, Ibrahim Zahir, Muhammad Nofal and a colleague were also martyred, while local freelance reporter Muhammad Al-Khalidi also lost his life.
