Israel Insulted Diplomacy By Attacking Doha, Qatari Pm Addresses Security Council
He assured that Qatar will continue its mediation and humanitarian role
New York: Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani has said that Israel has insulted diplomacy by attacking Doha and this move is tantamount to sabotaging efforts to establish peace in Gaza.
Addressing an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council, the Qatari Prime Minister said that the Israeli attack caused loss of life and property and that the attack targeted Hamas leaders as well as a conspiracy to thwart ceasefire efforts.
He assured that Qatar will continue its mediation and humanitarian role and will continue its diplomatic efforts at the global level to end the bloodshed without any hesitation.
Earlier, in an interview with the American media, the Qatari Prime Minister had said that all hopes of releasing the hostages had been dashed due to the Israeli attack and their future was further jeopardized.
It should be recalled that on September 9, Israel carried out an airstrike on Doha, the capital of Qatar, in which Hamas’s central leadership remained safe, but six people, including Khalil al-Hayyah’s son, were martyred.
