Ireland Calls For Israel To Be Expelled From The Un Over Gaza Genocide
Those who provide weapons to Israel should also be expelled from the UN, President Michael D. Higgins
Irish President Michael D. Higgins has demanded that Israel and the countries that are providing weapons to it should be expelled from the UN, holding them responsible for the genocide in Gaza.
According to the World News Agency, the Irish President has expressed concern over the recent report of the independent experts of the UN Human Rights Council.
It should be noted that in this report, the independent experts appointed by the UN had confirmed by presenting evidence that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza.
In the context of the same report, the Irish President said that we should not hesitate to terminate the membership of Israel and those who provide weapons to it.
He added that we should also end trade relations with Israel and the countries that provide weapons to it. They are atrocities on people like us in Gaza.
It should be noted that this statement has come at a time when the Israeli government has deployed tanks and ground troops in Gaza City.
Meanwhile, the European Commission has also called on member states to end trade cooperation with Israel and impose sanctions on its extremist ministers.
It should be noted that the number of people killed in the ongoing Israeli bombing of Gaza since October 7, 2023, has reached nearly 65,000, while more than 200,000 have been injured.
