Iran Nuclear Deal: US, Britain, France and Germany Appoint a Deadline of August
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio talks to his British, French and German counterparts over telephone
The United States, Britain, France and Germany have agreed to set a deadline by the end of August for a final deal on Iran’s nuclear program.
According to the news agency, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke to his British, French and German counterparts over the telephone, in which all sides decided that if no agreement with Iran could be reached by the end of August, they were ready to re -impose old UN sanctions.
Prior to the announcement, Iran had warned that nuclear talks would not be possible if the US insisted on stopping uranium enrichment. Iran has rejected the negotiation pressure, declaring the peaceful use of nuclear energy as its right.
The recent Iran-Israel war has led to a halt to the negotiations. Now, after the end of the war, both Washington and Tehran have indicated the restoration of the talks, but there is a lack of trust between the parties.
In 2015, under the “Joint Compress Hansio Plan of Action” between Iran and 6 world powers (US, Britain, France, Germany, China), Iran agreed to limit uranium enrichment levels and reserves. The number of sanitary fuses promised a step -by -step reduction. He agreed to clear the heavy water installation from the bomb -making plutonium.
In return, economic sanctions on the United Nations, the United States, and the European Union were lifted.
