Iran Announces New Terms For Nuclear Talks
The right to enrich uranium will not be a prerequisite for defense issues, Iranian minister excludes
Tehran: Iran has declared new terms for the upcoming negotiations on the nuclear program, making it clear that any possible agreement must recognize the right to uranium enrichment.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Iraqi has said that Iran will not accept any agreement without the right to uranium enrichment, as the right is linked to Iran’s sovereignty, scientific development and the use of peaceful nuclear energy.
He added that Iran has made numerous sacrifices for this right, and our position is very clear that nuclear energy will be used only for peaceful purposes.
According to the Qatari news agency, Abbas Iraqi said that if the UN sanctions were re -imposed on Iran, it would be the end of the European diplomatic role.
He warned that if there were any such sanctions, the European partnership in Iran’s nuclear program would be considered completely ended.
According to Abbas Iraqi, details of nuclear talks between Iran and the United States are being reviewed, which is under consultation on time, location, nature, terms and guarantees.
However, he made it clear that potential negotiations would be limited to nuclear issues only and that there would be no discussion on defense issues.
The Iranian Foreign Minister also said that Iran considers the nuclear bomb “non -Islamic and inhuman” and that his country is only supportive of a peaceful nuclear program.
It should be noted that this stance has come from Iran during the 2015 nuclear deal, called the Joint Plan of Action (JCPOA).
Remember that US President Donald Trump unilaterally abolished the deal in his first term, which increased tensions between Iran and world powers.
Abbas Iraqi added that in the event of any possible attack on Iran, the next response will be more decisive and tragic.
