Trump made this explosive announcement on his social media platform ‘Truth Social’, where he wrote ‘Happy world, Iran and Israel have agreed on a ceasefire’.
According to him, under the ceasefire, Iran will initially stop its military operations, while Israel will formally stop operations after twelve hours. With the completion of 24 hours, this historic ceasefire will be recognized internationally as the end of a 12 -day war.
Trump said both sides have been asked to take a peaceful and dignified attitude in this interim period, to avoid any kind of provocation.
In his message, he added that it was a war that could last for years, which would pushing the Middle East towards complete destruction, but it did not nor happen now.
Trump congratulated the leadership of the two countries on the courage, perseverance and wisdom, saying that the world had survived a major tragedy.
President Trump further said that God has mercy on Iran, Israel, the Middle East, the United States and the whole world.

Qatar’s leading role in ceasefire, American media revelations
US media has claimed that Qatar has played a significant diplomatic role in a possible ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israel.
According to sources, Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al -Thani directly intervened in the deal.
According to the British news agency, some unidentified officials talking to US media said Qatar played a role in mediation when the US proposal for a ceasefire was being made to Iran.
According to these officials, the Qatari Prime Minister telephoned Iranian authorities, which became particularly important when Iran targeted US military bases, including Qatar, in the region.
However, the alleged ceasefire has not yet been confirmed by Iran and Israeli governments.
