India: A Sweeper Confessed to Silently Burying Several Female Students Who Were Raped in a Temple

An 11 -year -old has made heartbreaking revelations at a police station in Dharmasthala Temple in the Indian state of Karnataka.
According to Indian media, sweeper, who has worked for 10 years in the temple, has filed a case on condition of anonymity at the police station.
The case states that the bodies of many women and students who were abused by the pressure of influential and powerful people were buried quietly and burned.
In the statement, sweeper added that almost a decade’s constant remorse gave the police to tell the truth, otherwise we had left the area a decade ago.
The former employee of the Dharmasthala Temple confessed that he was forced to burn and bury the bodies of several women, including 1998 and 2014 school students.
The former Indian temple employee also demanded protection to him and his family, saying that influential people had threatened to kill.
Police say the applicant also provided photographs of the remains of the bodies, which helped the investigation.
