I heard India has stopped buying oil from Russia; Trump
Indian officials deny stopping buying oil from Russia
According to US President Donald Trump, he has heard that India has stopped buying petrol from Russia after the announcement of a fine.
According to the World News Agency, the US President expressed these views while talking to reporters.
He added that there is no certified information in this regard but I have heard that and I realize that India will do so.
However, Indian officials have said that President Trump is aware of his statement to impose a fine, but cannot immediately stop the sacred oil from Russia.
Meanwhile, a New York Times report claims that at least two Indian officials have been confirmed on condition of anonymity.
According to New York, Indian officials added that there is a long -term oil purchase agreement between India and Russia, which is currently underway and how can it be stopped in the middle?
However, Indian authorities do not deny or confirm that Modi has held a consultative meeting to stop the purchase of oil from Russia after President Trump’s threat.
Two senior Indian officials have made it clear that no change in oil procurement policy has been changed yet, nor has the government issued a directive to reduce imports of oil companies.
Reuters, on the other hand, said the New York Times report could not be immediately confirmed. The White House, the Indian Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas have also refused to comment.
Remember that last month, President Trump said on his social media platform that India would face additional fines on Russian weapons and oil purchases.
However, President Trump later also said that he did not matter what India does with Russia.
Remember that Russian oil is currently about 35 % of India’s total imports, which is India’s largest oil supplier.
