Washington: US President Donald J. Trump has been formally nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for playing a key role in the recent 12 -day ceasefire between Israel and Iran.
The nomination was sent to the Norwegian Nobel Committee on June 24 by Budi Carter (State Georgia), a member of the US Congress, Republican Party.
In his letter, Carter described Trump’s role as extraordinary and historic.

In the letter, Carter highlighted not only the ceasefire but also the steps taken to prevent Iran’s nuclear activities.
He took courageous and decisive measures against Iran’s nuclear desires to prevent the world’s largest terrorist support from obtaining nuclear weapons.
According to Carter, while demonstrating leadership in an unstable region like the Middle East, Trump strongly reflected the principles of world peace, prevention and international harmony.

At the end of the letter, Budi Carter formally recommended that President Donald J. Trump be considered for the Nobel Peace Prize.
