Cuba, Venezuela, Chile, and Mexico strongly condemn the U.S. attack on Iran.
Following the U.S. attack on Iran, several Latin American countries have sharply criticized Washington’s action, calling it a blatant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter.
Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel strongly condemned the U.S. bombing, stating that it is a dangerous escalation pushing humanity towards an ‘irreversible crisis.’
Chilean President Gabriel Boric also deemed the U.S. action illegal. He wrote on X (formerly Twitter):
‘Chile condemns this U.S. attack; having power does not mean you can use it to violate the laws established by humanity, no matter how powerful you are.’
The Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs appealed for a reduction in the conflict, saying:
‘We emphasize the need to reduce tensions in the region under our peaceful foreign policy and constitutional principles. Restoring peaceful coexistence among regional states is our top priority.’
Venezuelan Foreign Minister Ivan Gil issued a statement on Telegram.
