According to him, China is ready to share its experiences, products and resources with other countries
Shanghai: China has proposed to set up an international organization to promote global cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) so that both developing and developing countries can take advantage of.
Addressing a World AI conference held in Shanghai, Chinese Prime Minister Li Cheng said that in the current situation, control of AI technology is being restricted to only a few countries or companies, which is increasing the risk of inequality.
Lee said China wants AI to be open to all human beings, and less developed regions of the world, such as Global South, get equal partnerships. According to him, China is ready to share its experiences, products and resources with other countries.
The Chinese Prime Minister emphasized that the world is in urgent need of a joint AI governance framework so that all countries agree on the use, risks and principles of technology.
Representatives from more than 30 countries participated in a round table meeting, including Russia, Germany, South Korea, Qatar and South Africa. China also proposed to set up the organization’s headquarters in Shanghai.
On the other hand, the United States has also launched a new project, steping into the AI field, aimed at exporting US technology to allied countries and leaving China behind.
The conference was attended by more than 800 companies around the world, which presented more than 3,000 new AI products, 40 major language models and 60 intelligent robots. The renowned computer scientist Jeffrey Hunton, former Google CEO Eric Simhad, and the French president’s AI envoy were also not included this year.
