Britain Rejects Israeli Criticism of Palestinian Statehood Declaration
Israel calls British decision a reward for Hamas
London: Britain has rejected criticism of other critics, including Israel, for announcing the recognition of the Palestinian state.
British Prime Minister Carestarmer had warned yesterday that if Israel did not stop the war in Gaza and did not show seriousness in peace efforts, Britain would formally declare the Palestinian state in September.
Israel termed the British decision as a reward for Hamas, while US President Donald Trump also said it was not appropriate to recognize Hamas for independence.
In this regard, British Minister of Transport Hydel Alexander said, “This is not a reward for Hamas but a step in favor of the Palestinian people. This is for children who are hungry in Gaza. “
According to British media, Prime Minister Starmer addressed the nation on Tuesday night that the two -state solution was in danger and the time for the establishment of the Palestinian state was arrived.
It should be noted that France has already announced that it will recognize the Palestinian state in September, while Malta, Spain, Norway and Ireland have also supported the move.
