Bombing The Buddhist Synagogue of the Military Government in Myanmar; 23 Refugees Killed
The victims of the earthquake were taking refuge in the Buddhist synagogue
Army airstrikes in Sagang area of Myanmar killed several people, including children, who had taken refuge in the building.
According to the World News Agency, a local resident confirmed that the Buddhist synagogue hall was completely destroyed.
In this hall, dozens of people, including children and women, were sleeping. He has been seeking refuge here since the devastation of his homes in a magnitude 7.7 earthquake in March.
Asylum seekers believed that being a synagogue, the place would be safe for them during the clashes between the military government and the armed opposition.
Buddhist followers used this synagogue to stay isolated from the world and meditate.
It is to be remembered that in 2021, the military leadership had ousted the democratic government and formed its own government, against which armed struggle is continuing in parts of the country.
The military government does not refrain from air strikes by calling them separatists, and many such cases have lost valuable lives.
Zhun Tun, a spokesman for the military government, called ‘Janata’, has expressed ignorance of such incidents.
He said that investigations are still underway in this regard and if there is any negligence, the responsible will be punished.
It is to be remembered that in May this year, the military government also launched airstrikes on the presence of separatists at a school, killing 20 students and two teachers.
