During an off-camera conversation with senior American TV journalist Rachel Scott, Trump said that “it is possible that we may get involved in this conflict between Iran and Israel,” however, he clarified that currently, the U.S. is not involved in any military action.
Trump welcomed the potential mediating role of Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Iran-Israel conflict and said that he is open to that possibility if Putin decides to mediate.
Trump stated that negotiations regarding Iran’s nuclear program are ongoing, and due to the current tense situation, Iran is now potentially more willing to reach an agreement.
It should be noted that Iran canceled the sixth round of negotiations with the United States on Sunday, which was previously scheduled.
