No to Two-State Solution: Netanyahu and Trump Discuss Relocating Palestinians from Gaza
Israeli Prime Minister said the United States is supporting them in efforts to move Gaza residents to neighboring countries
WASHINGTON: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said during a meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House that he rejects a two -state solution in Palestine, because an independent Palestinian state could become a “platform for destroying Israel”.
Netanyahu said that Palestinians should have the right to govern, but issues like security should always be under Israel.
“There has been excellent cooperation from all countries around the country, something good is going to happen,” Trump also pointed to a controversial plan to oust Palestinians from Gaza.
The Israeli Prime Minister said the United States is supporting them in efforts to move Gaza residents to neighboring countries. Trump also confirmed that his team is active in the region and important decisions are expected soon.
Netanyahu added: “If Palestinians want to go, they will be allowed to go, we are looking for a better future for them.”
The meeting took place when diplomatic efforts are underway to strengthen the ceasefire agreement after the Israeli-Iran war.
