Sources familiar with the project told the Wall Street Journal that the Israeli intelligence agency had monitored these nuclear scientists for 15 consecutive years.
Sources added that the appropriate time for attacks on Iran was very careful to ensure that scientists do not escape or hide.
Sources also said that Israel had been keeping a close watch on top Iranian scientists since 2003.
At the same time, Israeli intelligence was for the first time that Iran has begun efforts to acquire nuclear weapons.
Israel also targeted two nuclear scientists in 2010, while Mohsen Fakhrizada, the head of the nuclear program, was mysteriously killed in 2020.
It is to be remembered that one of the nuclear scientists killed in the Israeli attack last month was Firdon Abbasi, who survived the 2010 attack.
