Warning Internet users around the world, 16 billion logged details have been handled by hackers
US officials call it a serious cyber attack against national security
Iran -affiliated hackers have threatened to disclose emails from close advisers to US President Donald Trump, whom they have allegedly stolen.
The threat comes at a time when tensions are on the rise after the 12 -day war between Iran and Israel.
Talking to the International News Agency Reuters, the hacker, who called himself ‘Robert’, claimed that it had 100 gigabytes data related to Trump’s constituency, including Suzie Waels (Chief of Staff), Lindsay Heligan (Trump’s lawyer), Roger Stone, and Emmalas.
US officials have called it a serious cyber attack against national security. The US Attorney General said action would be taken against those responsible.
Iran has not given a formal response, though in the past he has been denied such allegations. Hacker Robert says he plans to sell data, but when and how, it is not explained.
The hacking group was also active during the US elections in the first 2024, and leaked emails from some of President Trump’s allies, some of which came up with legal and financial matters. However, the disclosure information did not have a major impact on the election results and Trump was re -elected.
Cyber security experts say Iran is now focusing on unconventional cyber operations to avoid direct military conflicts, and these email leaks can be part of the same strategy.
