According to a report by the foreign news agency Reuters, British Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves stated in a conversation with the media that the UK could potentially assist Israel in a conflict with Iran; however, she clarified that the decision to move additional combat aircraft to the Middle East was primarily made for the protection of UK bases and personnel.
The British Chancellor urged for an end to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran, stating that the decision to send additional fighter jets to the Middle East was a security strategy.
In response to a question about assisting Israel in the conflict, she remarked that whenever missiles have come in the past, we have helped Israel, and we are sending military equipment for the potential assistance of ourselves and our allies.
