Millions of people took to the streets across Australia against Israeli aggression and atrocities in Gaza.
Major demonstrations were held in more than 40 cities, including Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, Hobart and Brisbane, with more than 300,000 people participating.
The protesters chanted slogans in favor of the Palestinian people and demanded that Israel stop the ongoing genocide and forced famine in Gaza. The people urged the Australian government to impose immediate economic and diplomatic sanctions on Israel.
Protests in favor of Palestine were also held in other countries of the world. In the UK, protesters staged a sit-in inside a bank to end financial relations with Israel, while thousands of people in the Belgian capital Brussels expressed solidarity with the Palestinians.
A human chain was formed in Finland and slogans of “Free Palestine” were raised in front of the Israeli embassy in South Korea.
Protests against the Netanyahu government also took place within Israel, with thousands of people demanding a ceasefire outside the military headquarters in Tel Aviv.
