India Will Significantly Increase Tariffs If It Does Not Stop Buying Russian Petrol; Trump
India is buying petrol from Russia at cheap prices and selling it on the world market, President Trump
US President Donald Trump has announced that India will significantly increase the import tariffs imposed in response to the large-scale purchase of Russian oil.
According to the World News Agency, Donald Trump said in a statement on social media that India is not only buying large quantities of Russian oil but is also making huge profits by selling a large part of it on the world market.
President Trump added that India’s growing proximity to Russia, including defense and energy agreements, is forcing the United States to review its trade policy with India.
The US President added that India does not care how many people the Russian army is killing in Ukraine. That is why I am going to significantly increase the tariffs paid by India to the United States.

It should be remembered that last week, President Trump announced a 25% tariff on India, but in today’s statement, he did not say how much more to increase.
Last week, Trump also said that the US is facing a large trade deficit with India.
He described Indian trade policies as “extraordinarily harsh and painful”, and said that non-financial trade barriers from India are the most complex.
