Trump Says He Prevented Nuclear War Between India and Pakistan After Air Clash
Trump did not make it clear that Pakistan had hit Indian planes but said five planes were dropped.
US President Donald Trump has said that he estimates that five Indian warplanes were killed during the recent war between Pakistan and India.
Addressing the Republican Member Congress at the White House, he said that the situation was getting worse and there was a fear of a nuclear war between the two countries, but I stopped the war.
Trump did not clearly stated that Indian aircraft were killed by Pakistan, but he said that in fact five aircraft were dropped and that if timely interference was not interrupted, the situation could have worsened.
The beginning of stress from the Pahalgam event
The dispute began in April in Pahalgam area of occupied Kashmir, which started with an attack by unidentified persons, killing 26 people. India blamed the attack on Pakistan without any evidence, but Pakistan rejected the allegation and offered cooperation in a neutral investigation into the matter.
The US condemned the attack but did not support Indian claims of accusing Pakistan.
India’s attack and the response of Pakistan
On May 7, India came into force and imposed war on Pakistan, after which Pakistan defended vigorously and fired 5 Indian Air Force fighter jets, including Rafael. Although India has consistently denied the destruction of the aircraft, US President Trump’s recent statement reinforced the claim that the aircraft was really destroyed.
India, on the other hand, claimed that it also killed Pakistani planes, but Pakistan clearly stated that India failed to drop any Pakistani fighter aircraft and could not provide any evidence.
Ceasefire and mediation of Trump
The ceasefire phase came on May 10, when President Trump persuaded the two sides to stop the war after talks with the leaders of the two countries. He said that he had made it clear that if the war was not stopped, the United States would end trade with both countries.
President Trump also offered mediation on Kashmir issue and addressed the two leaders:
“I will work with the two of you so that a solution to the Kashmir issue can be resolved.”
India’s support, India’s hit religion
Pakistan welcomed President Trump’s mediation offer, calling it an important step towards resolving the Kashmir issue. The Foreign Office statement said that we appreciate President Trump’s efforts, which are important for peace and security in the region.
On the contrary, India not only rejected the offer of mediation but also refused to recognize the US role in the ceasefire.
Pakistan recommended the Nobel Prize
Pakistan not only acknowledged the role of President Trump, but Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar wrote a letter to the Nobel Committee and called him the Nobel Peace Prize.
This incident became a reminder once again in South Asia that the peace of the region could be at risk at any time due to irresponsible measures, and how important the timely and balanced role of world powers could be.
